Frugal Lunch Recipe: Pizza Rolls or Wontons

These are an awesome frugal lunch recipe! I haven’t made them in awhile but next time I do I will make sure and get a picture. I used to love pizza rolls as a kid but then we found out I have a dairy allergy and my time with pizza rolls ended. These Pizza Rolls or Wontons can be made with dairy cheese or soy cheese!
Frugal Tips for these Pizza Wontons:
Make a variety of these so your kids don’t get bored! These aren’t bad frozen, just freeze after you deep fry them. To reheat place frozen pizza rolls on pan, heat oven to 375 degrees for twenty minutes or until done!
*All of my recipes can be used with dairy or made into dairy free recipe versions. I have a milk allergy while my husband does not so I often try to make recipes in which substitutions can be made either way. My recipes are also made to be as frugal as possible.
Pizza Wonton Recipe
Gather It Up!
Wonton Wrappers
Pizza toppings (pepperoni, onion, peppers, mushrooms, whatever you like!)
Dairy mozzarella cheese or Soy mozzarella cheese (I use Follow Your Heart presents Vegan Gourmet brand cheese alternative)
Pizza Sauce (your favorite sauce, check the ingredients if you have a dairy allergy!)
water
Cook It Up!
Chop pizza toppings into the smallest pizzas you can. Place small dollop of pizza sauce in the middle of wonton wrapper. Add a small amount of pizza toppings. Sprinkle with a small amount of shredded cheese or soy cheese. Remember wonton wrappers are small so don’t overfill! Dab water on edges of wonton and fold in half, pressing edges together. Deep fry in oil until golden brown, don’t over do!
Serve It Up!
You can eat these as is or keep a small dish of pizza sauce for dipping!
