I do this manner every time I go for shopping or grocery. I bought my handmade market bags which I made it on my own. I just don’t like using plastics anymore.

I do my grocery early in the morning to save time and effort. Also, one tip that I can give you is that I make a canvass of which grocery store or market have lower prices on the selected items which I usually bought. I hope that can help.

Great tips. I’ve been doing this for several years now and it’s working for me particularly the creating a grocery list and I stick on what is listed on my paper and avoid buying something out of plan. It really saves money. Thank you.

I agree with Erick, growing your own herbs can save a lot of money, and add taste to the cheap food you’ve bought as well!

Since having our son and my “free” time being very different – I found making the list was the key – I noticed I spent less money and didn’t get all those things that seem a great idea in the store and when I got home wondered why I got that particular thing.

Another great way to save money is by growing your own herbs, they can be quite expensive at the grocery store. They are relatively easy to grow and picking them right outside of your kitchen is about as fresh as you can get. Anyway, thanks for the post, great advice!

Another good tip for saving money on grocery shopping is to buy things in their least processed form. For example, buy cheese in blocks and slice or grate it at home. Buy chips and cookies in large bags and then divide into snack bags for lunches or snacks instead of buying the small bags.
