This breakfast sandwich tastes so much better than any breakfast sandwich you could buy at a fast food restaurant or at the nearest convenience store.
Frugal Tips for the Breakfast Bagel Sandwich
Buy sausage when its on sale or leave it out completely and throw in mushrooms or onions. Freeze these sandwiches and heat them up in the oven the morning you need them for a warm sandwich to fill your stomach before you start your day!
*All of my breakfast recipes can be used with dairy or made into dairy free recipe versions. I have a milk allergy while my husband does not so I often try to make recipes in which substitutions can be made either way. My breakfast recipes are also made to be as frugal as possible.
Breakfast Bagel Sandwich
Gather It Up!
4 sliced bagels
1/4 cup ground sausage
8 eggs
Dairy free margarine
Cook It Up!
Create 4 omelettes with the sausage or whatever engredients you would like to use. You can also mix the eggs and sausage up and microwave 1/8 of the mixture at a time for one minute until the egg mixture is cooked through. Spread butter on bagels and toast.
Serve It Up!
If eating right then : Toast the bagel and spread margarine. Add omelette between slices and eat.
If freezing, place omelette on untoasted bagel spread with margarine. Freeze for later. To reheat, place breakfast bagel sandwich in oven, and turn on oven so it heats to 400 degrees. When oven is heated to 400 degrees, the sandwich is ready to eat.

That’s a delicious looking sandwich. I think I know what I’m making for breakfast tomorrow.
This is a great idea. I love to have food frozen and ready to pop in the microwave so I can have a fast healthy breakfast.
This sandwich looks so yummy. I never thought of making them ahead and popping it in the freezer. What a novel idea. Thanks!
That looks tasty!
I shall try your recipe tomorrow morning.
Not perhaps the first thing I’d choose to eat in the morning, but it looks good nonethe less.
Please post more ideas for good breakfast foods. Also ones that can be made ahead and frozen.
I just can’t wait to try out the recipe….
That sounds so scrumptious and easy
I’m gonna make some now for tomorrow! I don’t have sausage or mushrooms though..I wonder if I can just use ham.
Ham would work great in this recipe!
