Squidoo

writing-for-squidooSquidoo is one of the most unique writing sites I have come across. Instead of articles, you create “lenses” on Squidoo. This makes for a new format that is quite fun! I am truly enjoying this site because it is allowing me to be creative in a much different way than I normally can be when writing an article.

Lenses are broken down into modules for text, images, links, RSS feeds, Amazon products, you name it! This unique format allows you to play around quite a bit and continuously add new information to the pages as well!

Squidoo pays based on ads and affiliates such as Amazon or Cafe Press. They pay through PayPal and you can set up when you want them to pay you, as low as a $1.o0 threshold. So far I haven’t made anything but I have only put up 4 lenses and they are very new. I will let you know how my earnings are after I get at least  a month under my belt!

Have you written for Squidoo?   What did you think of them?

Squidoo is versatile. You can write for fun, for profit or both :)

There is a diverse range of subjects to write about and the interface is user friendly. Just follow Squidoo’s prompts and you will have a site up before you know it. You can add photos, You Tube Videos, and much more, to add interest.

Squidoo is a great way to get a site up and running, without having to pay a penny.

haha I love squidoo! It’s cool if you use it along with your own website too, because if you can get your squidoo pages popular enough, you can go and promote your website on it a bit, if they’re about the same things and stuff. I thought making money on squidoo was hard at first, but it’s a very interactive website, so to really start making money you need to be as active as possible, liking lenses, commenting, and make your lenses as big and unique as possible. Good luck with your squidoo! What are your pages anyway? Here’s one of mine http://www.squidoo.com/bekawaii

Squidoo is great, I really enjoy the concept. I have always been particularly impressed with their option to donate your earnings to charity. That’s a nice touch.
Have you checked out hubpages.com? It’s very similar to squidoo in many ways, though I have to say I personally prefer hubpages. It seems to be more intuitive, and I like the discussions on hubpages. It’s well worth checking out, and if you’re using these sites to promote your “real” site, it always helps to have some link diversity.

I find that Squidoo has some excellent resources on it, but there are some pages that really let it done. I have put up lens in the past, as a way of promoting my own online businesses. Found that it quickly became one of my key sources of traffic. This is the best way to make money off their site.

Yes, squidoo is really good and you also get good visitors from them if you really post some interesting article. Hubpage is also good.

  8. Using squidoo wisely can be quite a beneficial prospect, I’ve used squidoo many times to get people to know and understand my expertise, definitely one of the best platforms on the net

  13. I’ve looked at Squido a few times. Never really got into it. Some content is really strong, other areas a re lagging.

Like most it’s hard to get into. The potential is there, the idea is solid, but really I find a lot of other places have more value. Just my 2 cents

  14. I love squidoo! It’s cool if you use with your own website. i used it before.

  15. A great way to earn some extra pennies and lots of lenses on there to learn from on pretty much any subject!
