As usually happens when things get crazy and hectic, I start a new business. I know! I know! It makes no sense but after a phone call from my mom on Sunday, my husband and I were sharing a booth with her in an antique mall less than 24 hours later.

I love to go to antique malls and flea markets. It is actually the preferred entertainment for both my husband and I together, and when I’m with my mom. We have talked off and on for years about opening a booth in a antique mall and trying our hand at selling. A new antique mall in my hometown allowed us the opportunity to have a booth free for one month. We signed up and between the two households we had enough antiques to fill a decent sized booth. What a better way to work from home than by having a reason to shop for antiques?

I am very excited to start this new venture though it does make me giggle that we are so entrepreneurial that we will even start a new business within 24 hours. I wouldn’t suggest this, make sure that you research a new business venture, but if you have a dream then you should try to accomplish it. This business has cost us virtually nothing to start (we are already a legal business) so we are very excited to see what happens! We made our first sale within minutes of opening so we are hopeful! I have written about ChaCha before, ChaCha Customer Service at Home, but I felt it deserved another article as it has been a lifesaver for us several times.

I mean it when I say this job has been a lifesaver. We have had several emergency vet visits, including one recently, that ChaCha has helped pay for. It has also helped us pay off thousands of dollars of our debt and has given me a fall-back income when another of my income sources dries up or has a slow month.

ChaCha only pays an average of $2 to $5 an hour, dependent on a few factors, I average about $3 an hour. I know some of you are thinking, seriously, $3 an hour? Yes. $3 an hour in which I do not have to spend money on clothes to go to a brick and mortar job, I do not have to spend money on eating out as I’m home, I do not have to spend money on gas, and I can work when I want for as long or as little as I like. I have made almost $500 a month and I have made 32 cents, it just depended on the amount of time I wanted or needed to put in.

This is a great job for stay at home mom’s (and dad’s, or uncles, or grandma’s!) or students who need flexible schedules. I know many moms who work at ChaCha who love it because they can stop working if their baby cries or if the dog pukes on the floor (this has happened to me. More than once!).

This is a legitimate work at home job. ChaCha always pays. You do have to pass a test. If you are serious about working for ChaCha, I suggest you take the test seriously as many people have failed it. Read and watch all videos they tell you to in your training.

CloudCrowd lets you choose a simple job with a known payment to do. Your work is then reviewed and your pay is accepted or rejected (for those of you who do Mechanical Turks on Amazon, it is very much like this).

The work varies and pay varies from $2.00 for rewriting text to $.08 for grading that rewritten text to finding websites with text that needs to be rewritten. I made $21.00 today in about 2 hours.

You also get a Credibility rating on CloudCrowd based on your acceptions and rejections. If it drops too low you are no longer allowed to work for them. So far I haven’t found anything that states what “too low” is.

The very best part of CloudCrowd? You get paid within 24 hours, a deposit into your paypal account and you get paid for referrels. I just started today so I’ll let you know tomorrow if I got paid but I have read several posts on different sites today that say they have been paid.

A new site like this may burn quickly or it could take off so try CloudCrowd while you can!

I started this at 11 this morning. I just got paid $21.20 through PayPal for everything I had done up until two hours ago for Cloud Crowd. I would have to say it does work then! I wish all the work at home sites paid this quick!

I have received pay for the last three days I have worked, over $80. I would also like to state that Cloud Crowd is brand new and still in the beta stage so there will be a few glitches. Projects will be a bit sporadic until they get enough businessess wanting to work with them and payments from CloudCrowd probably will be a bit off. (I got paid this morning for yesterday’s work, instead of that night like I had been) So far I love it and I love that they are actually paying a decent amount as opposed to places like MTurk. Some people are beating up the forums that Cloud Crowd is a spam. I would like to say, they are absolutely not a scam as I have been paid for every bit of work I have done.
